My Facebook Look Back is (surprise) nice

Untitled
Facebook is far from my favorite social network, and I didn’t think my Look Back video (the automated highlight compilation every user gets in honor of the service’s 10th anniversary) would amount to much.

But, gosh, mine is nice.

Facebook, inevitably, made some bad content choices with my video, but it can be edited — up to a point.

I do not have the power to go over all my posts and such during the years I have been a Facebook member. The network gives me a much more limited number of content options, but I found enough good ones for fine-tuning my video to near-perfection.

One quibble: I can’t embed my video on a non-Facebook site (here, for instance).

Google’s Google+ social network generated a similar, year-in-review highlight reel covering my activity during 2013. It’s good, but not great — and it’s not editable.

That’s a bit of a disappointment since I like Google+ much more than Facebook.
